Postpartum Depression:

Rutland Adventist Church Home > Ministries > Postpartum Depression:

Kelowna Assistance for Postpartum Depression (KAPD) is a support group for any mother in our community who requires peer support and professional care as they make the adjustment of bringing a new baby into their life.

Many new mothers experience the “blues” to some extent during the first few weeks after childbirth. An ordinary bout will go away by itself, while persistent cases known as Postpartum Depression can seriously handicap the growing relationship between the baby and his/her family.

The educational and emotional support available has been helpful for many mothers. KAPD Support group meets Wednesdays from 12:00 noon – 100 p.m. at 130 Gerstmar Road, Kelowna.
